INTRODUCTION TO
MUGENKYO VIEWING SPOTS
- 01
- Mugen-an
Only one 300-year-old house remains in the old Mifuke settlement. The blue roof of the house, visible among the trees on the riverbank, is a local landmark.
- 02
- Hosogoe-Kyokyo Bridge
(commonly known as Spectacles Bridge)
This 8-arch concrete bridge was built alongside the Tadami River. If the timing is right, you can see the Tadami Line train running along the bridge.
- 03
- A landing point near Hayato Station
The landing point is a 2-minute walk away from Hayato Station. It is a popular photo spot located at a meandering section of the Tadami River.
- 04
- Yunoue Cliff
The dynamic spectacle of trees clinging to the sheer cliffside is a sight to behold.
The name of the special boat, "Seishitsu," refers to a traditional Japanese color, a deep and subdued green. Although this color is rarely seen in modern times, the name was chosen to evoke the deep, subdued green of the Tadami River and the "lacquer" that recalls the traditional Aizu lacquerware, a famous craft of Japan.
Surrounded by the recreated traditional feast of Okuaizu, known as "Iwaizen" (celebratory meal), take a brief journey back in time and enjoy this unique experience.
